To qualify for the Cambodia My Second Home (CM2H) program, applicants must meet the following criteria:
• Be a citizen of a country recognized by the Cambodian government
• Be at least 18 years old at the time of application
• Have clean criminal record
• Make a minimum investment of USD 100,000 (including government fees) in an approved real estate project
• Pass a standard background check and due diligence process

Due Diligence and Application
1. Complete eligibility assessment and due diligence checks by the Ministry of Interior.
2. Receive permission to submit an application.

4. Complete the payment of the remaining legal, due diligence and government fees.
5. Complete the investment and present the SPA to MOI.
Residency

1. How long does the Cambodia My Second Home application process take?
• Most applications are processed within 4-6 months, depending on the completeness of documentation.
2. Can I include my parents or children over 18?
• No, the program does not allows inclusion of any family member. For other family members, consult our legal team for tailored solutions.
3. Is the investment refundable?
• Investments must be made in government-approved real estate or business sectors. We can help provides due diligence to protect your interests.
4. Do I need to know Khmer to apply or renew my visa?
• No, there are no language requirements for the CM2H program.
5. Can the property be legally owned by the foreigner?
• Yes, the foreign nationals can legally own the property (not the land) in Cambodia within the building from the first floor up.
6. Will I receive the title deed after the investment?
• Yes, you will receive a title deed issued by the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction for the purchased property.
7. Is it required to prove the source of funds for my investment?
• Yes, applicant has to prove that his/her source of funds derived from the legitimate method.
8. Is there an additional procedure required to obtain a work permit?
• Yes, there is. CM2H visa holder may need to apply for a work permit, in case s/he plans for the long-term employment or operating a business in Cambodia. The work permit application is submitted to the Department of Immigration, under the Ministry of Interior, and the Ministry of Labor and Vocational Training (MLVT).
9. Are there any restrictions on the nationalities eligible for this program?
• Yes, applicants from certain countries such as Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, North Korea, and Syria are restricted.
10. Is traveling to Cambodia required for the application process?
• No. This is not required, but successful applicant will have to travel to Cambodia to get CM2H visa sticked on his/her passport. There is no time limit to enter Cambodia after the approval of the visa.
